The Elder Sign is an icon in the Cthulhu Mythos, first mentioned in H. P. Lovecraft’s “The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath”, written in 1926. It is a protective symbol that defends it’s bearer or a place marked by it, from the mythos creatures.
There are a few versions of the Elder Sign. This one here is the most popular and well known version, described by August Derleth in his “The Lurker at the Threshold” (1945) story.
The pendant is made in sterling silver. It has 2,8cm (1,1 inch) in diameter.
